I've heard that before, but it was presented to me as one of those car myths/legends. But i kinda gotta go wit Purple on this one. You'll feel dumb as hell if you remove it and then you pick up some foreign particle in your intake and murder your MAF. And as far as fingers go, keep em out of the turbine while its spinning.LOLOL

Another very nice write up, keep them coming. However. Removing the MAF screen may seem like a good idea, it really is not. You no longer have clean air flow past the MAF sensor and this will cause problems for the PCM. We have discussed this in the past and never really had any hard numbers showing it helps, or hurts. It is my opinion that it'* better to leave in place. I will have to pass on the write up unless others say different. But please, keep the write ups coming.
