Default MSD 6a on my ssei or not

I have an msd 6a ignition,I had it on my old car and it still works fine but i dont know whether or not i wanna put it on there or not, will it hurt it, make it less reliable?I wanna get better gas mileage and i did on my thunderbird when i installed it the blaster coils and good wires. The reason im asking is because i dont know much about supercharged motors so should i go with just the blaster coils and leave it at that or put the 6a on to

No real performance gain but it will help create a bigger spark to keep less crap from getting into the exhaust, help the plugs last a little longer
