Question about heads.

Let me explain this a little better....
The 88-91 Vin C 3800 had Roller lifters and the Rockers used a Pivot( There was friction here at this pivot )
In 1993 the Tuned Port 3800 went to a roller pivot which reduced valvetrain friction... I would love to have the L27 heads on both of my 91'* for just that reason...
The L36 and 96+ L67 used the newer style Roller... But none of these used the roller tip...

Uh-oh...hope this isn't considered hijacking :?
Don: Build date is 2-93 I think. I know for fact it isn't a late 92. Also, the original rod bearings showed a 93 stamp date. So, at the VERY least, the short block is original.
Wilren and Oldsman: Solid pivots as shown in the pics provided. These pics are big to show all the codes on the head that I have pulled so far. Considering all the junk that was in this head, I think they came out very well for being a home jobber (I just ground down some high spots in the exhaust ports, didn't touch the intake ports at all, and cleaned up the water ports).
