Don't forget you will need the VIN as well. And as Bill said, the correct year. a 2003 wont work for a 2004.

Wow. Thanks Bill. Sounds like a plan. Now all i need to do is get a hold of a PCM. I talked to my buddy over at Moradparts, i can get my hands on a PCM but is not cheap he said. And i asked why? He said that people get these PCM'* for their 97 or newer GTP SSEi SS and so on.. and have the PCM work with the transmissions on the newer cars. So what it boils down to is that you can use the 03 or newer 4T65e HD transmissions on your 96 and up 3800 series 2 engines with out any problems. (Pretty cool huh?) GM changed a few electronic parts in the newer 4t65e HD transmission. And so i finally asked why in the heek would someone go through all of this trouble and he said you can get a Low Mileage Trans instead of a older high mileage trans for the same price! Makes sense!!

Faster then you should be going. I believe it'* set to 199 so you won't be able to get up to it.
