Air intake question...
I am interested in getting a intake for my 2001 bonneville ssei. i went up to the parts store and the wanted around 200.00$ for one. I looked on ebay and could get many for under 30.00$. i dident know if the ebay way is the worng way, or if the parts store is just way over priced?
thanks
Matt

What ever you do,don't get one off of ebay.
The intake tube is too short and the filter is crap.
The best way for you to go would be an FWI. It gives better access to cooler air and is well shielded.
Here'* the link to INTENSE Racing. You can find one here for around 170.00

Yeah, x2 on the avoid the ones on eBay. I know it'* tempting, because it looks like an improvement, but really, a good K&N filter is around $50 alone. Remember that as you look at the short pipe and filter and ask yourself how it is that it'* $30? -It'* often made up for in an overly-expensive fee for shipping and handling.
Just search on here for how to do it. The 2000+ folks here do the fenderwall. Follow their lead for the best results.

There are plenty of good solutions on ebay, they wont be under "bonneville" though. You'll want a longer pipe built for a civic, with a 45* or so bend..
Post them here and we can check them out for ya.
EDIT: this is pipe only. Definetly use a quality filter.

don't take my word for this, somebody else will tell you for sure....
But I believe the top on that you listed is what they were talking about being too short to really do any good. I think the bottom one looks like it has a little more potentional, but still looks kinda short to me.

Second one at least has a K&N, but it'* already pushing the $100 mark with shipping. You can do better by piecing it together yourself.

can somebody that is running an intense FWI provide some good pics of exactly where and how far it runs?
Fwi is the way that I want to go but I hate the look of the rubber hose that Intense uses.... was wondering it is possible to peice one together will regular ( stainless/chrome) that will run the same way. wonder what that would cost.....
