Default Porting Throttle Body on L27?

I read something about issues with MAF tables and calibration with porting an L36 throttle body. Anyone know anything about porting an L27 TB? What exactly is involved in porting a throttle body? I'm guessing it isn't something that can be done very easily, but I'm just trying to get some information and learn about this concept.

Basically you are opening it up best you can and removing any lips or edges that will disrupt the flow. With that being said, unless you have or have access to a tuner, you will have problems because you need to change your tables

Damn, that'* not good. Can you even tune an OBD1 engine? IIRC it wasn't really feasible, and this is a Series 1 engine. I don't remember ever hearing of anyone tuning an L27.

What kind of problems am I supposed to run into?

You can try this place. I've heard really good things about them, I'm sure they can help.

They make a custom chip for my car IIRC, for $75, based on any applicable mods. I had a nice e-mail chat with one of the guys there regarding my car, and I have the forms and everything ready to go. Wouldn't you need the car itself to tune the MAF tables though?
