Adjustible Fan Control
I was walking through pepboys yesterday and suprisingly, I actually found something very useful!
It'* an adjustible fan control that you can adjust from 90* to 200something degrees.
It has a temp probe that goes into your radiator fins, an ignition relay, and controls two fans. It also has the option to hook it up to your a/c clutch so the fans come on with the a/c, like they normally would. Another cool thing about it is you can wire it so that the fans will work all the time and cool your car after you turn it off.
The wiring is pretty simple and i can help anyone that needs it.
The best part is it only costs 40 bucks!!!!
You guys should really check this out.
Hayden automotive makes it, it'* called an Adjustible Thermostatic Fan Control, and the part number is 3647.

Yes, we have a couple running now. Don't remember who.
This time of year, I just leave my high-speed on with my override. I've thought about the thermo control, but for my use, it'* not really needed.
Also, having the fans stay on with the car off until it cools down will only cool the water in the radiator.......just remember that you don't have any circulation unless your water pump is electric, and also runs

now I know why my mpg sucks.. mine has never gone above 125, and is usually two needle lengths below that.. even with my low coolant.

I was looking at the fan controller on ZZP'* site. It think it is a good idea to have, especially on hot summer days. It will also help if you want to work on your engine just after you have driven it, to cool things off so it is easier to work.
And it would be great to have when sitting in traffic.
I might end up getting that in the future.

Thats cool.. I'll have to google it to get more info about it.. been lookin to do a fan override for OBDII and I think PontiacDad has done his.. but the schematics he sent was a lil blocky so I couldn't confirm which wire to splice.. so decided not to.. no links.. only other forums
I hate having to be in stop and go traffic and having to turn on either A/C or front windshield defroster to turn the fan on.. and I dont' care who says what with whom for how much.. I feel the power robbin affects of the A/C compressor kickin in.. and my boost gauge shows it. :P
