Tan body.. that sounds like a 96 model charger with the heat coating paint on it.

I know a few have and said it'* a ton of work. Seems that they pick up a polishing kit and spend hours upon hours at it. Sorry I don't have more info.

I think I have a write up or two in tech info performance.

As for cleaning it up, well, I find that to be a lot of work for little return, and it soon starts to fade. So what I do is clean it up, then a lite coat of paint, like stainless, aluminum, or chrome. Looks the same with a lot less effort. Use a higher heat paint that is resistant to solvents.

FWIW, I think a little bit of paint goes a long way:

I used some wheel paint with a couple of coats of clear enamel.

I took a different approach. Since corrosion is such a pain, paint of some sort was on my list. I also wanted to keep people from seeing imperfections. And it helped me hide a lot of stuff in the engine bay.

Wrinkle paint.

There is an intercooler under that charger.
