A/C question
I noticed the other day that when I kicked on my a/c the car didn't seem to loose much power - and I got thinking. If that'* the case, than the PCM probably accounts for the ac compressor being on and kicks things up a notch, right?
and if the PCM does that, is there a way to trick the PCM into thinking that the AC is on when it'* not? would you be able to send a dummy 12v to the right place and get a little extra oomph?
just wonderin -

You don't notice the AC as much as you would in a 4-cylinder or smaller V6 because you have decent power. The PCM doesn't make any adjustments to 'up' the power at all.

I think the only thing it tells the PCM is to keep the idle up when you're at a stand still ( As my boost gauge runs higher with A/C on.. but to be honest.. all A/C robs power.)

bummer though, that it doesn't do anything extra for you when the a/c is turned on.
so it goes, so it goes.
