Default Jet Chips hate me...

Yeah yeah, I already have a Superchip brand mod chip, but it never hurts to research and look around when bored right?

I checked out Jet Chips and they have chips of up to 93 Bonnies, but for the 94'* they only offer air fuel monitor kits. And absolutely nothing for 95 and up. Then I emailed them asking if the chip for a 93 would work with my 94....they said no.

Why may I ask? Well they didn't reply. Will you guys? :?

Let me check for you. I know Jet performance has a chip for my car and its a 99. I can sell them. There are chips for the 94, here they are...

Stage 1: SSE/SSEi

Descrip:
Jet Performance Chips offer the most horsepower available for your GM car or truck. Only JET performance chips provide exclusive full range DST programming of the air/fuel ratio, ignition advance, transmission and various other parameters. Each program is track and dyno tested to ensure the most possible horsepower from each application without effecting drivability of fuel economy! The Jet Stage 1 Performance Chip is designed for the stock engine with very little modification. It requires the use of at least a mid-grade (89 or higher) octane fuel for maximum performance. The Jet Stage 1 chip will also work in conjunction with other modifications to increase performance

Stage2: SSE/SSEi

The Jet Stage 2 Performance upgrade is designed for the enthusiast. Premium fuel is required in order to extract the maximum benefit from the remapped tuning specs. Other modifications including less restrictive exhaust, modified intake, and a 180 degree thermostat are recommended.

I can get either of those 2 and for a better price most likely. Just let me know.

Did the Superchip make a difference in power? Also, did it get rid of that annoying 108mph speed limiter?

99BonnevilleSE, get back to me about the Stage 2 chip for a 94 SSE.

And csprague, to be frank I'm somewhat disappointed with Superchips. It didn't get rid of the limiter and did not take advantage of any of my mods (Jet chips claim their stage 2 chips do). But it did increase my power noticably, but not as much as I was told.

thanks. that is really the only reason I'd want a chip. but when I emailed Superchips they couldn't tell me if it got rid of it or not (they tried to get me to buy it and try it out though...)

Jet flat-out denied having a chip me as well. Guess I'm stuck with this stupid speed limiter for good

I'll tell you right now because I have one.

Performance is a boost and I like it, but didn't get rid of the limiter. I was slightly disappointed in other areas.

For a 93/94 SSEi Stage 2 Jet Performance Chip, it would be $190.00 shipped to your door. Let me know if you want it.

If other people are interested in chips for their cars, let me check it out since the prices are different for different years.

Ok, I'm seriously considering 'taking one for the team' here. I asked Hector a couple questions on email:

"Jet doesn't get specific about anything on this specific
chip. Does it remove the speed limiter and raise the
rev limit? Are there any other side effects as far as
fault codes being generated? Will it disable my
performance shift mode? How much HP gain on this chip
with my car? Jet claims UP TO 50hp on SC'd cars."
(I've seen dyno results up to 25hp on NA)

One other thing, Hector.....will it allow skip-shifting?
I'm gonna make you work for the $2 profit you get from drop shipping

We'll see........

Sent you an email..... Hope I answered all your questions and a little more.

And skip-shifting, I am not sure, I doubt it. Only way to know is the try. Jet doesn't give me that much info either.
