Default PEMs difference

Is there a difference between the GTP exhaust manifolds and the Bonneville manifolds? I am hearing that there are but when I did my engine swap I didn't change the exhaust manifolds out and it bolted up just fine. I am looking at buying PEMs and I am wondering if there is a difference between them because it was mentioned.

Front manifold definately. Rear is different on the 96-99 for sure. Maybe yours are the same. If so..that opens up a whole big market for the 00+ folks

as far as i know, the fronts are EXACT, the are even the same part number...

for the rears the bonneville manifolds are offset about 2" because of how the motor sits in the engine bay differently than the GP

if you did not swap manifolds, your downpipe is just crooked.. :?

Cheers,
This is the only picture that I could get. I definately have the GP style ones on there though. I could see that. I just couldn't get a decent picture for you. But if I did have the Bonnie one on there it wouldn't have fit anyway. Look at how close I am to the firewall as it is. Any more offset would have been toward the driver side where there isn't any room. All that space there is toward the driver'* side. ???? I don't know. There are a lot of things that shouldn't have worked on my car that do so......?????? I guess good for me. I can by GP PEMs.

Thanks very much for getting that photo. It is a bit hard to tell just how things line up but you look like you have clearance. There'* quite a lot of room around the firewall in general, it'* interesting that the Bonneville rear manifold moves the downpipe outlet on the manifold about 2" towards the passenger side comapred the GTP one.

Interesting...

Cheers,

Yeah, if there was an offset I don't think that it would have bolted up. I will try to get a better picture from underneth the car today.
