Default Which PCM would work best for a 3800 engine swap?

Pretty straightforeward... I'm gathering some more pieces... and I am actually doing this swap in a Fiero GT currently, then a *-Truck after the Fiero is put together.

Here'* what I have:
Fiero 5 speed car, blown v6 engine
1989 Rivera VIN "C" 3800
complete composite intake from a 1994 Bonneville
A smorgasbord of wires from that vintage motor'* sensors and pinout diagrams

The *-Truck will also probably be a manual as well, and I'd like to go series II N/A, but neither the truck nor the engine are purchased yet :o

I'd like to stay with something reliable and programmable through chip burning (my way out of the automatic controls of the PCM) Thanks in advance.

Big question. The Supercharged V6 didn't come out until 1992, so how does an 89 get blown?

The 94 intake will cause PCM problems unless you get an AFC controller, but otherwise, if the engine is from an 89, get the pcm from the donor car (actually it'* an ECM, which will help, as you have a manual trans, and don't want the automatic axle crap in the pcm anyway).

If it'* actually supercharged, what car did you REALLY get it out of?

Try www.L67swap.com for more information.

Moving this to Performance.

should be more clear.. blown as in it blow'd up. Previous owner didn't believe in regular oil changes, to the rod bearings protested... since it'* not my daily driver, I don't need/want to rebuild the 2.8 that came with it. sorry about that

Last months High Performanc Pontiac magazine had a letter to the editor written by a Fiero owner trying to do this with a Series 1 L67. Interesting letter. Anyone else read it?
