Hans'* Buildup.....Going Fast Without Spending Too Much....
Well now that my 98 and 93 are sold and I have paid off my 01 I have some money left over for mods for the 01.
Presently Installed
3.4"...I also own 3.3",3.2",2.9",2.8" Modular Pulleys
3.5" FWI
Aeroforce Scan Gauge
DHP Power Tuner
Headers - Dipstick Tube, O2 Extender, New O2 Sensor, 3" to 2.5" exhaust adapter
Cat Converter - 3" High Flow Cat
Car presently runs an adjusted 14.7 at 95mph at sea level, or 15.0 at High Altitude. I want to be at 13.9 at Altitude and 13.5 at sea level.
Planning to install soon:
Rockers - 1.9 Yella-Terra and lighter pushrods
Reuseable rocker arm bolts
Springs - 90LB LS6 Springs (or should I go 105s..would it be safer that way?)
Retainers - Higher Strength to be on the safe side.
LIM Gaskets - and sc, tb, o-rings, valve cover gaskets as well
180* T-Stat
42.5lb Injectors (Flowmatched)
PCM Tune for rockers & Injectors (INTENSE or ZZP, still deciding)
Other Stuff that will happen at the same time
New Radiator - OEM from GMPD
Flush Dexcool out of motor and heater core before installing new radiator
Slotted Rotors and Bendix Pads all the way around.
Down the Road Still when i want to run 12.9-13.1ish:
Stage 2 Intercooler with INTENSE heat exchanger
Billet Fuel Rails
Ported and Polished ZZP SC
Northstar Throttle Body
Shift Kit (not sure what brand yet)
Full 3" Exhaust all the way back to aftermarket mufflers.
New Transmission
Oil Pressure Kit
For the planning to install soon area..what am I missing?, anything else I should do when its torn appart

Lets keep the stuff "in the future" section for discussion at a later date and focus on the other mods I have listed in the first section.
I'm assuming I have listed everything but if anyone has feedback I'd love to hear it
I need to buy a high quality torque wrench and make the 130mile trip to harbor freight for an air compressor or find a friend that has one (not likely with most of my friends lol)
End the end..this car needs to be able to beat an LS1 car at the track of course....that is the only real goal

I think a cam is out of my "ability" of stuff to do on my own. I dont feel comfortable doing the job by myself, nor do I know anyone locally that has ever installed one before on one of these motors.

IMO, something to tune with, aka the DHP should be one of the first things you buy.
Why spend the money on a PCM and then spend it again just to modify it?

Get the tuner now...as in first...before you buy any additional parts. Learn tuning, then add parts one-at-a-time and tune them in. That'* the safe way, as well as the way to get a true appreciation for what each mod is doing for you.
Do CompCams 105#'* instead of 90# LS6 springs. I've read too many horror stories around 90# springs with their high spring rate (timing component wear, cam wear, snapped valves, etc.). And don't forget viton valve seals.
If you think you'll cam later, just do it now instead. There is a good pictorial instruction on the web (you could probably find it if you search on ClubGP). And if you're camming, might as well beef up the timing components.
