Motor Mounts
My engine used to sway in my engine bay while idling because of a bad tranny mount, so i replaced it with a OEM one and its better now. However im still getting a quite a bit of vibration fromt the steering wheel and pedals when driving.
What can i do to fix this?
Is there anyway to put mounts on a bonneville like dogbones? its rediculous they didnt come with any.

It'* unlikely that the vibration you are feeling is from the motor mounts while driving.
Why is it ridiculous that our cars don't have dogbones? I redesigned the front mount on my trans to clear the header and have much less engine flex than any of my W body buddies. Even the poly mount and shortened mount guys.
When swapping motors our transmissions stay level because of the passenger dogbone to the trans. Makes swapping much easier IMO.

Vibration at what speeds? The chassis you have has been plagued with many vibrations.
Steering wheel and pedal vibrations could be as easy as front brake rotors.
I'd like to understand and hear more from you on how/why you feel that the motor mounts are causing vibration through the wheel/pedals though. Because honestly a persons first feeling/gut reaction about this type of thing is frequently right and not being there or driving the car we rely greatly on your instincts. If something says to you that it'* mounts, it could be mounts.

well i figured i was feeling the engines vibrations because of a bad motor mount, now that i replaced it, some of the vibration has gone away. I have no idea whats causing it now.
Most of the vibration is on the highway, my hand jiggles on my steerwheel and my foot almost bounces on the pedal.

I would suspect a warped rotor or your front tires are not ballenced try rotating your tires and see what happens. You have abnormal tire wear maybe a alignment is in order

I would start with the basics.
1. Shake down the frt end and see if anything is loose. Inspect the tires.
Replace as necesary.
2. 4 wheel alignment.
3. Tire balance I would pay more for the road force balance.
4 I would look at the brake system like suggested above. Warped rotor, sticking caliper etc
Hopefully this helps

What tires are on the car? If they are the originals, or replacements but the same as the originals, they are prone to belt seperations. If this is the problem, anyone doing balancing will pick it up if he knows his stuff.

I have had that problem on my 1992 bonne and my 1998. my steering wheel won't shake until i push the brake so i know that would be a warped rotor. but if it is shaking while you are driving then it would most likely be a wheel bearing. thats what my guess would be. try going on a road thats not busy like in a city and when you are driving like 5-10 mph slam on the brake a few times and see if it has vibration. try doing that after it has been running for a while (as in hot). if it vibrates then it is a wheel bearing if not it is a warped rotor. i would also agree with get a balance and ratation.
