Default New PEMs all ready

Got my new PEMs all ready to install. Plan to do that in a few weeks when I have off work

Here they were before I coated them.

Here they are when I was removing them from the oven, taken with my camera phone.
A bit blury.

Here'* a better image taken on my work bench. They look really nice. And that'* cermaic coating, not paint.

I'm nearly ready to start the big project. Springs were ordered and will be here next week. All I need to get yet is gaskets for the manifolds, and valve cover gaskets.

Any thoughts on if I can drop a pully size? Got a 3.4" now with no real KR, just a little bit at the shift point. Upgrades will be PEMs, 105 springs, 1.9:1 roller rockers, and oil restricted push rods. Was thinking bout getting a quick change pully and going to 3.3" I'm thinking 3.2" might be a big to much, but I want other opinions. Thanks

I like that coating!

Lets get a pic of the inside of the front manifold.

Every engine is different, you need to scan YOUR car, not just go based on other peoples experiences. Your best bet is to get an MPS hub and have a 3.3 and 3.4.

Those look awesome, nice work. As you mod i would definitely stick with the MPS system, especially if you want to go to the track. That way you can run a .1 smaller pulley on race gas and you don't have to deal with the pulley tool each time.

Yep, I plan on going to get a tap that size, just need to find out the size, I belive it'* a metric. If anyone knows the size, let me know. Thanks.

I used this, http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/p...&iProductID=17 As for welding and such, that was done before I got them. I belive it was dirtheadracing that did them.

Well, now I'm getting excited. My project is nearly ready.

My gaskets are ordered and I'll have them next week. All I need to do is get the exaust studs and donut gasket. Then I just need time.

Last night I painted my valve covers, turned out nice.

I plan to do this in mid March when I have off work for a week.

Doesn't look like buildup under the necks of the front manifold runners? Where were they ported?

Why powdercoating instead of a header coating known to promote exhaust velocity?

Any questions about the porting would need to go to the member Dirthead racing, he did them.

As for the coating, I didn't know there was a difference when I did them. I used ceramic powder coating. If there'* a problem in the future I'll change them out either with another set of PEMs which I will make from my stock set. I have access to some REALLY good certified welders, or with headers. That'* something I may do next year or so.
