Octane Boost - Split From Superflash's Build-up Topic
#22
Now this IS interesting.
actually I am uncovering my secret sauce
Now check this out. The bottle in the package says 7 points. The other bottles, with exactly the same other markings that came out of similar packaging say 70 points or 7 octane rating and 60 points or 6 octane rating.
I believe that whomever did the labeling didn't know the difference when they marked 7 Octane points, and really meant 70 points.
May be a similar mistake on the 104 Booster cause I run that on my Firebird with very good results.

Little bit of information about the use of Toluene as an octane booster.

Toluene is 121-127 octane, and costs me about $12 a gallon. But you better know how to mix it. Your car'* life depends on it.
Octane boosters for the most part are junk and a joke. 99% of those you see off the shelf are not worth the money.
You also need to understand the right application, and why you MAY need an octane boost. There are benefits and detractants to it.
