The speedo on my 79 Bird used to go to 140 kph or 85 mph before I converted it to 140 mph.
I remember how it used to wrap all the way around back to zero.

I love the Bonne speedo now. Just click it over from 220 kph to 220 mph. It is electronically limited to 108 mph in 3rd and 128 mph in 4th.

The soon to come ASE chip will correct that corporate GM insurance liability.

At 6000 rpm in 3rd gear it should do 155 mph.

The logic they're using is flawed. You can't use the same arguement to both prove and disprove a point. They're doing just that by implying that the car must go as fast as the speedo says, except for when it doesn't.

There are elevators in a building in town here, where they have buttons for floors 1-6, despite the fact that its only a 5-story building.

I don't know if this has been said, but the Grand Am was probably a Canadian car, so it had a speedo at 180 KPH. My friend has a Cavalier like that.

Hey guys, thanks for all the help and advice. I dont really want to bring it up again cuz all the kid does it blow things out of proportion and begin yelling like his life depended on it. He wont just talk but he will scream. Its kinda ridiculous. He does the same thing with his gf. They fight like 23/7. lol the 1 hour they dont fight they are broken up for. They break up for about an hour almost every day. Guess i should look for a new roomate for next semester.

YES thats the whole thing!!! He said he has driven it before. It is his cousins 2002 GA GT. He said he has his friend in the car and when he hit the gas he almost **** himself. I find that kinda hard to believe. I know my bonneville can take the GA. Maybe he will settle for racing my car rather than the GTP. Also he has some personal issues against the Grand prixs. He said his uncle had it and it fell apart on him and was nothing but trouble. I have never heard of this before and I do not believe it unless the guy just didnt know how to take car of a car. I would love to have a gtp right about now. In fact I may be getting one next weekend. How about that? I'll update you when I look at the car over presidents day weekend.

haha, that is some funny stuff. that GT would get killed! i had a slightly modded skylark 3.3 one time that was just about as fast a 3.4 GT. I raced a 97 SSEi that had 5 people in it, and got humilated by about 10 car lenths at least! i know it wasn't a GTP but same motor. race him for pinks slips if he'* so sure, you've got nothin to worry about.

My mom has a Grand Am GT. I kinda think of them as girls cars. I drove it a lot when I was learning to drive. It doesn't even nearly compare to the power of the 3800. You have to do some serious mods to make that faster than a Bonnie.

My friend has a GA GT, and supposedly he put in a vortec supercharger. But it doesn't seem that fast.
