Default installation of Intense Stage 1 kit

I was basically wondering if anyone has any helpful insight on installing a stage 1 kit on a SSEi. Are there any special tools I'll need? Anything I should look out for? Any tips from someone who has installed these parts before?

FWI- Need to take off the front left tire, remove the fenderwell cover. remove the airbox, take out the stock PCM. While you have the stocker hanging, replace it with the new Intense PCM. Simple process with two bolts. After replacing the PCM, make sure you connected the metal sleeve that came with the FWI into the bottom[opposite of the side connecting to the TB] about 3/4 way it. That will give the filter enough bite with the clamp and not impead airflow. After clamping the filter and the tube to the metal sleeve, feed the tube up through the hole where the airbox originally was. Mind you, it makes it much easier to remove that front left headlight so you can see. After you have it through the hole, slide in the other sleeve that came with the package into the end of the tube portion you have. Again about 3/4 the way down, then slide the TB adapter over that, being sure not to interfear with the IAT hole.

Once you have that clamped on, remove the IAT sensor plug[only plug on the corrigated short tube that came off the airbox and TB] and plug that into the adapters open IAT socket. fit the last big[4in] clamp over the end of the adapter then slide it onto the end of the TB and tighten the clamp down.

Thermostat- Whil e your in that portion of the engine, take a C-clamp, Qwik-clamp and clamp the radiator hose hooked into what looks like an elbow on the middle righthand side of the engine. That will give you enough space to close the tube, without compromising the integrity of the tube. With a rag, put it around the elbow, while loosing the bleed screw on top. Loosen the two screws on the sides of the elbow, and pull up after coolant has been drained. Pull out the old therm, replace with new one and new O-ring, and reverse the process, being sure to tighten down the bleed screw.

Spark plugs- self explanitory...3 in the front, 3 in the back.

For the MPS 3.4 Turn to this, plus youll need the puller tool from ZZP or Intense.

Thats a very in depth write up! Sounds like you have been through it all before. Im gonna print this up and use it as a guide for when I do the install. We need to have a MI meet sometime soon (when it finally stays warm around here). Thanks for the help, Brett
