I have a new oxygen sensor and fuel filter.

Should I notice better performance? Is it my imagination that it is quicker off the line without hesitation?
I took off next to a "ricer" civic today and his engine was winding up and it sounded like he had it floored. I kept up to him and I wasn't even WOT
