Default Help make my Bonnie faster!

Hi,
I have a 97 Bonneville SE w/ 68,904 miles (yes, I just looked). What can I do to make my bonneville chirp more off of the line? I plan on getting an Intense PCM, 180 deg thermostat, and fenderwell intake.

Any other suggestions? I don't have a whole lotta money to work with. I'd like to stay under $500.

Thanks a lot for responses!

Yeah, I just added that to my first message. How much power would I be able to gain?

I'd also like to get it sounding better. I really like the sound of the car idling how it is now, almost sounds like a V8! Is there any easy way to convert to dual exhaust (even if it'* one exhaust splitting into two pipes). I really don't want it to be an "in your face" dual exhuast, I'd like it to be more subtle. To get the sound, what do I need to replace? Muffler? Muffler and cat? Muffler/car/resonator?

http://www.bonneville.fearthepearl.c....php?page=mods I really like the sound of the "My 1993 SLE with Flowmaster 80 series" video.

Thanks!

Can you tell me what I'd need to replace and what I'd need to buy? I really don't know much about exhausts. Like I said, I want a more subtle looking dual setup

All you need is a Camaro/Firebird muffler.

Shop around and explore your options. All I did was say I want 2 pipes sticking out under my bumper and they said we never seen this done to that car, and I said its the same as a camaro muffler, they looker under, said oh yeah it is. Its that simple.

Will the muffler give me the sound?

So All I need is the muffler and 2 pipes to come out under the bumper?

BTW...is there a kit I can buy to do this, or will I have to get custom pipes to come out under the bumper? Also, what size inlet and outlet do I need?

How about this?

Would you mind giving me a pic of the underside of your car sometime?

A muffler with an intake sounds really good and youll get a little more performance. If you wanna have something really badass though you gotta do expensive mods like cams. Thats what I intend to do. Intakes and mufflers give you more sound and are good when you get the expensive stuff(from what people have been telling me.)

And yes that muffler will work

Click here, these are the double outlet mufflers that work well on our exhaust systems.

Get some 980* bends at a store, or have a shop put some on, and get 2 turn down chrome tips. They'll be subtle, but still different. Have them poke out barely from the bumper cover.
