Default ADTR Headers for Bonneville'*, questions for the masses....

Ok, headers, I need to have a count of how many people are interested in actually buying headers for Series I engines. I has come to my attention that the Series I engine is more like a Small Block Chevy w/ 2 cylinders lopped off and a little destroked (from 4.3L). The header placement on the Series I is like a 60 degree engine where the 3 ports are not equal from each other but the #3 and 5 cylinder exhaust ports are closer together and the #1 is at the end. Plus the EGR is in a different place.

The Series II engine has then all spaced out evenly plus the EGR is on the back manifold. We are developing the headers currently for Series II engines since the market is larger for them. But we need an idea of how many people are actually going to buy Series I headers if we produce them since they are totally different.

I need a real count because we do have limited time to make parts. Thanks for you time guys and gals.

the 3.8 series 1 is pretty much just like a 305 but missing two cylinders accept that the 3800 is missing the distributor.

Right, but it seems no one cares for Series I headers. I guess I will just stick with Series II headers and that'* it.

That makes it even MORE worth it for you, at least for the Series 2, cuz your factory headers on the 89 won't fit, and the series 2 L67 uses exhaust manifolds. Only the Series 1 came with factory headers.

Allmachtige, don't you already have factory headers? You should. They didn't stop using them until after 94......96 I think.

How much are you gonna sell the series 1 headers for? A reasonable price i reckon?

They would be made out of stainless steel and be approx $500 dollars. But since not many people are interested, we will probably just not do the Series I headers.
