Default another thread about */c,ing an n/a car lol

I bought a relatively clean buick a few weeks ago and I'm allready thinking about pointless mod'*.

I can get parts pretty cheap and the thought of a stupid quick buick box makes me happy.

So heres my wholy amature plan... I figure I should just get the entire D/T from the donor car along with the ecu and harness. The */C'd cars I have seen all have the ecu in the bay and I assume that the trans comp is intigrated with it.

So it all seems simple. A little too simple 1 drop in new drive train + harness and comp.
2 wire in ignition circuit. 3 possibly replace fuel pump. 4 enjoy Right?

Superchargers though are hard to find in good condition. I have a good M62 I bought for my mazda before deciding on a turbo instead and short blocks are plentifull.

So if I decide to start with an earlier M62 donor can I upgrade to an M90 later? Or can i use a m90 equipped donor with the M62 till I can find a better SC?

I've got a lot of reading to do so any advice or direction is appriciated.

Also I badly need struts. What are some good options for a smooth but firm ride?
I am thinking of trying Bonneville ssei struts. I believe they should be the firmest factory struts and they still seem smooth enough. Will they fit assuming same gen platforms?

M62 and M90 applications aren't switchable.

91-93 M62'* are also different than 94/95. 96 and newer are the M90. Pick the one you want to begin with.

It would help to know what motor your Buick has in it for starters. Mounts might be an issue.

You want:

1. Engine
2. Trans
3. PCM
4. Wiring harness
5. Fuel pump
6. Axles

Get all of these parts from the same donor car.

definitely. I'll take some pix of the box today.

I drove an early bonnie ssei a few years ago just like your red one and loved the rediculous torque. I dont know if it was modded since it was a customer car but I got in trouble when I pulled it in to the bay because I spun the wheels thinking it was just another 'old ladys' car lol.

Before it gets to cold tho I really need new struts. Can I possibly use replacement parts for another car on the same platform? The */C and I assume the handeling package suspension'* didn't come out till the latter body styles were produced so I dont know if they can be interchanged.

I'm looking for a firm controlled ride but i dont want aftermarket style struts. Any ideas?
