Ok, well in October I replaced the rotors and pads on the Bonneville, because the rotors were warped and pads were dead. I tried to have the rotors turned last time but they were too far gone, so I got a new pair.

So thats not even a year later, about 10 months, and I have vibrations when i brake, which really started happening about 3 months ago but i kept putting it off and not thinking about it. If i brake really easily or if I was to step on the braes hard for any reason they feel smooth, regular braking i have vibrations that feel like I'm pedaling the brake, which is the same symptoms as before. I need to do something about it soon. My rotors are warped again im sure, 7 months old. I most definatly eased up on my braking since October, because I'm sure that my braking habits caused it before. Like i said I have been easier on the brakes and its happening again. I have tomorrow off and i'm thinking about getting into this more.

I did a search on the rotors and had some questions answered and i know to avoid drilled rotors...Should I try to have my rotors turned or Invest in Slotted rotors now, to help keep the temps down on the brakes?

What pads and rotors did you use last time?
Cheapie rotors will warp regardless. If you used ceramic pads then you definitly need a much better quality rotor. Ceramic pads don't transfer heat thru the caliper like metalics do so the rotor has to do more of the disappation.

Somone had found a good deal on Raybestos brute stops (? maybe they were sure stops) here via Ebay. I used the brute on my truck (F150) for well over 2 yeasr with ceramic pads and no problems at all.
My wifes Olds has Bendix from Parts America and also has held up well over a year w/o problems.

Premium pads and rotors will help, but in the long run, if your rear brakes are deficient, too much load is placed on the front.

For best braking performance my personal suggestion is Powerslot rotors and Raybestos quiet-stop pads (ceramic). Others have other preferences.

the rear drums were redone about two months after i did the front, the brake cylinders and pads were replaced then. I havn't seemed to have any problems back there since. But i'll have a looksee tomorrow.

As for the brand for the rotors and pad, well to be honest im not sure, my dad went to NAPA and picked the stuff up, we got if no charge because my dad knows the guy at NAPA and generally gives us good deals. So I'm assuming whatever brand Napa puts their name on, so its probably a generic brand.

I would go bendix.
I got the ceramic pads and good $50 bendix rotors and i Love them

the bendix rotors are a bi thinker then the normal cheap brand ones.
But wow do they stop good

I'll have to look into the Bendix, because $115.54 looks better than $189.14 for them powerslots

I went through several brands of pads and rotors on my 98 before going to Raybestos SS rotors & Akebono pads. I now have used the Akebono pads and Raybestos rotors on several cars including my 98 & 02 SSEi. They work flawlessly and produce virtually no dust.

The Raybestos rotors are drilled and slotted but I have never had an issue and they have been on the 98 for about 3 years now.

The rotors are about $80.00 each and the pads are $74.00 from Rock Auto.

Bendix makes awesome rotors and pads. Used to sell lots of these and never had a problem.

i third the bendix statement. they rule. mine were even dragging when that idiot didn't bleed my brakes...barely even wore down after about 50 miles of heavy burning dragging. didn't even warp the rotor!
