Well after the muffler almost fell off the car, I hung it back up with wire so i could still drive for a while. Dad kept the car from me this week while i spend he week at my grandparents' place which is closer to school, and while i was gone he was gonna take it in, and have the muffler replaced. He was gona get a stock replacement and he was gonna pay for it.

Heres the falling mufler thread http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=85637

Well Dad took the Bonneville to the shop, their estimate was $182 for the stock replacement muffler alone!!! Dad called me this morning and said go find whatever muffler you want, they'll install it for $30-40 Yay!

Yeah, my pipes, though I thought I measured 2.5" were actually 2.25", they made it fit, they used more weld rod though and it cost $20 more for that...

soudns weird over the phone, and i know it sounds much different in person but all I heard over the phone was a bunch of crackling when he reved it. at idle I could hear better but it sounded windy.

at first My dad told my brother to hold the phone next to the '67 Cougar 289ci /w Raven mufflers, and told me that was the bonnie at idle i was like dang

then they told me it was just the cougar :(
bonnie don't sound bad though from what i can tell...can't wait till tomorrow night after the Bob Dylan concert i'm going home to get 'er
