i have reached an epiphany - IDD classes just don't matter!
Here we all sit in the largest 3800 powered cars made by Pontiac trying to run against cars that have several advantages - weight and distribution of that weight, etc. - why should any of us care what class we run at IDD or any race for that matter?
i bring this up because i have been putting off installing my SS IC because it would move me up to another class. But as i have thought more on it, what class i run really doesn't matter because there will always be SEVERAL GTPs running faster than me.
until they have a Bonneville specific class--
which will never happen because:
1. there are not enough of us running - look how long it took to fill up the 1/4 mile registry board
2. we can't even muster a large Bonneville meeting - how many people showed up to Bonnefest? i am guessing under 15. Of course i couldn't make it either so, i guess i should drop that one eh?
-- i can mod to my whims
i guess wha i am saying is, i will be installing a SS IC real soon.

I intend on participating in Bonneville events as soon as my car is respectable.
I live all the way on the westcoast and making a long trip to show off my slow Bonneville isnt worth it for me or you guys. When I go I want to represent Bonneville fans well by having a respectably quick car. I know speed isnt everything but its fun.
By next year I plan on having my car supercharged with a beefier transmission. Maybe even more. NOS is getting tempting since its cheap and that supercharger aint out yet.

i still tend to red light when i get excited! Ask Rogue.
and i enjoyed the bracket racing this spring.
it'* just a fact that our Bonne'* will not compete until the highest levels with the GPs and i don't plan on going that far, so ...
i mod, i mod, because the Gp has a lighter "Bod"
