Who put on a 180 thermstat themselves SER 2? Finally Done.
Im running imto some difficulty here
I know its located to the left of the circle
Am I only suppose to take out those 2 bolts?
Is it suppose to be on that damn tight cause I cant move them

Yes it'* just those 2 bolts......And if it'* never been pulled off before.....You're gonna have to fight them a lil bit....I think factory thread locks them or something. Try using a flat blade screw driver and tapping the sides of the bolt heads with a hammer....Sometimes that'll loosen them up.

Finally done
I lost about a pint of blood trying to get those damn bolts on but I did it.
I put in a new gasket, O-ring and while I was at it I changed the hoses and coolant
So what am I looking for?
When I use to drive I was barely under the 200 degree mark
I should be noticably under it now right?

Where do you live? Temps? Style of driving?
Stop and go its gonna get kinda hot, but cruising should be well under 200.
If you get a PCM to turn on the fans at 180 with the addition of drilling 2 holes in the T-stat, you will never see 200 again.

Went out for a drive today and it worked. My first time tackling something like this and I didnt mess it up. Noticably under 200 now. Thanks for the help. You too Mike your a cool dude.
