Aha! Seriously, bolt an L67 TB to it. The thing is, I was mixed up since to me it'* a no-brainer to get an L67 TB. I thought you were asking is it worth the cost to go to the L26 UIM, and I missed that you were asking if the TB itself is worth it.
The Series 1 engines, the L27 and the L67, had the exact same throttle body between them. It looks like GM thought it was all right to put a smaller throttle body on the L36. So, the L36 has a smaller throttle body in stock form than an L27... That'* pretty odd.
