Default L67 swap

Just what exactly is involved in swapping in an L67 series 2 into say, my car. There is a good deal on the L67 engine and trans i'm looking at, so what else is involved and how much would it cost me. The powertrain i'm looking at is $2000. There is also an LSS i'm looking at thats $5200. Would a swap in my car be cheaper than buying a already */c'd car?

How many miles on the LSS and what year? $5200 looks good at first glance, but describe the condition of the car.

To do a L67 swap you would need the engine, trans, and PCM...that'* keeping it simple though. Do you really want to be messing with the entire wire harness? That'* a big long brain farting obsticle and would require days of banging your head on the fenders. Most members here would probably agree to go with the LSS. Besides its a complete sleeper and I'm all into that look now.

The LSS is a 97' and has 107K on it. It looks almost identical to my car only with a more Aroraish look and of course the Series 2 L67.

107k is a little high for a 97. What'* the engine look like after inspection? Did you take it for a test drive?

I haven't gone to look at it yet, its about 90 miles from here so i'll have to wait for the weekend. Anyways what should I look for, any common problems with the L67 series 2 as they age? Here is a link to the ad.

Maybe not so much as "do better" as to bring the price down some. Offer $4200 or $4500 and see where it goes. Point out the high mileage and need for proper tune-up.

Then there is this one that I did test drive back in June. Its still for sale and has been for almost 6 months now. It drove like a bat out of hell but had some issues- coupler, air shocks, ect..

the only thing about that last LSS is that its a 95 and that will have the series 1 */c engine rather than the series 2 */c engine...
