max boost
i have a 95 riviera w/a 3800sc i have installed a 2.3" pulley and im making only 9psi boost. with the 2.55" i made 7psi boost. my car is stockexcept for CAI and removed cat, resinator, and installed dual flowmasters. why am i limited to only 9psi on a 89 degree day. and when i make full boost i get a slight hesitation like it needs more fuel. could it be from KR. i got factory platinum plugs which are new and new wires. i replaced the coupler in the sc. Ummmm have you ever scanned for KR? if not DO IT NOW!
Also if you have not gotten a smaller belt or a bigger Tensioner Pulley then you most likely are getting belt slip at the higher RPMS

Platinum plugs are a HUGE no no. My car had them when I purchased it and it had nowhere near the performance it should of.
Are you running a larger tensioner pulley? What about the marks on the tensioner? where is the arrow on the scale?
What about vaccum leaks, have you checked all the lines?
And finally, a 2.3 is pretty small for a Gen 3 M62, have you scanned for KR?

The very first thing you need to do is scan for KR. you can & will you engine if you are getting a lot of KR.

The PCM would dump boost. Pull the vac line off the bottom of the BCA. If you get more boost, the PCM is dumping boost or the BCS is going bad. If you don't get more boost, check for vacuum leaks in the BCA or line leading to it.
And remember to put the bottom line back on the BCA when you're done. It may be protecting you engine for a good reason.
