That is the new 5.3L that is in the new GXP'*... Ryan'* uncles Performance Shop sold like 3 setups that would allow you to install a 5.7L-6.0L, LS1-LS6 in a FWD W-Body to that 'fiero guy'. Only problem I forsee installing this into a H-body other then wiring is the obvious... The mounting brackets are different from W-body to H-body.

Oooh, aren't they also an electronic TB? No cables? Maybe that could also be swapped from the donor car?

Here is a pic of a test impala with a LS1 in it. If you live around the Detroit Metro area there are 2-3 Impala'* out there with LS1'* in them from GM.

Someone really needs to do this engine swap into a '90-91, just to take the Frankenbonnie concept to the next level.
If Randy heard you... I'm soo gonna beat you down

I think you should go ahead and do that swap..you've got mega HP to gain here...and some arse to whoop on the track.
Defintally something I have never seen done in a Bonneville before.. but would like to!

Who, me? I wish I had that kind of money and time... My car really wouldn't be a great starting point for it though. It'* getting rusty in all the wrong places. Besides the engine still runs great. I'd feel bad pulling it out after so many years of faithful service...
