Here is a pic of a test impala with a LS1 in it. If you live around the Detroit Metro area there are 2-3 Impala'* out there with LS1'* in them from GM.

I think you should go ahead and do that swap..you've got mega HP to gain here...and some arse to whoop on the track.
Defintally something I have never seen done in a Bonneville before.. but would like to!

That engine bay looks like a 97-02 GP. Is it an GXP or am I dreaming??
