the ls2 is in my vette. i am going to be pulling it to install a 427 ls2. so the motor cost me 00.00. any info on the trannys used in the grand prix would be great. someone mentioned a ls1 being put in one before any info on that build or a location of soe info would be great.

the LS1 grand prix was a GM prototype i do believe, and finding specifics would be difficult

The LS2 is the new 6.0L V8, the motor in the GP GXP or IMP SS is the 5.3L modified from truck duty I believe

the ls2 is the new version of the ls1. it is in my 2005 corvette. it has 400 hp and 400 ft lbs of torq. the man diffrence is the sleeving process is like the c5r block. so when resleeving and boring it out it is a dry instead of wet sleeve. meaning the coolant it touching thr actual sleeve. any way it is all alum so super lite and tons of power. o want a 300c srt 8 in my bonneville. wish it could be to the rear whells but it cannot so we move on. i do not want a drag car but a killer sport sedan that will eat most big dollar big cars. it gets way better mpg then the 3800 and it is a beast.

30+mpg highway and 400+ horsepower. Whew, nice thought. Gotta few more years before that happens though.

You will need a kit that places the acc. in the right spots. Ryan'* uncle (JLAudioEclipse) had a few kits from GM that he sold to Fast Fieros. You can also talk to him about wiring since he is not new to this.

You slap on a turbo to a 3800 and you have that.

Step 1. sell LS2 engine out of Corvette

Step 2. Buy sweet turbo setup for 3800

Step 3. Take leftover money and...do whatever you want too with it.
