Not sure if you got Hector'* pipe off his SE or a test pipe. Mine is red powdercoated. All others were too to the best of my knowledge.

My original topic on the Series 1 test pipe was posted Fri Apr 11, 2003:

The ADTR intakes I probably would not make again since most people would just use the ricer intakes anyways and go cheesy. That'* fine with me but not worth my time. I still have the prototype intake that I used on my car in the garage. Might sell it to someone if they want it. I'll be wandering around somewhat.

Good to see more Bonneville people out there, took a while but that'* amazing that other people out there have actually joined the board! These kind of communities that pool the knowledge of all of its members is always better. I'll be keeping tabs on you guys.

The filter I use would fill that void, or most of it, right up to the back of the headlight.

Mine JUST rubs the ELC compressor at times. I have a rubber pad in between. I'm going to relocate the ELC compressor if I ever find the time to do something that doesn't add horsepower.

Peter, the heat reflecting material I put on my pipe doubles as a pad for it as well

I'll probably rethink the support if and when I do the ELC compressor relocate as well. Might want to consider that as a solution too.

I was the first car to test fit it. The early SSEi'* with the headlight washers got a double-washer tank. It makes the space tight. I had more vertical room than width. That'* why I chose that filter. It was originally desinged for the Nissan Xterrra. When I saw it first listed with it'* dimensions, they actually had none in stock. I got one of the first units produced to test. Allmachtige got another for the Red Rocket about a week later. The other reason I went with it is the nice broad flat back for attaching a heatshield, and the fact that it had an IAT hole. You'll have to enlarge yours.
