Default Intense has something against 96'*?

They have nothing for my car as far as computer upgrades is concerned. I have a 1996 SSEI and I would like to add on a 3.5 pulley but I need to have my pcm programed (I think). Can I get away with a 3.5 pulley without a pcm re-flash? If so what site could I get this pulley from? thanks.

it'* because of your transmission. They USED to have '96 PCMs, but they got rid of it. You can pulley a series 2 without a PCM, but I wouldn't go any lower than a 3.5

Intense doesn't have anything against them, same as they don't have anything against the 87-95'*. Like any performance shop, they specialize.

HP Tuners may support your PCM. I believe DHP does as well.

You should have no issues putting a 3.5" pulley on with gutted airbox/CAI/FWI and a high flow catalytic. Make sure to scan before and after for KR, especially in the warm weather.

HP tuners does not support a the 96 PCM. Only DHP makes a pcm and tuner for the 96. and you can pulley down lower than a 3.5 pulley with a 96 .

Your trans is a 4T60E. The 97 L67 got the 4T65E, which is what INTENSE specializes in.

We certainly do not have anything against previous model years and I would encourage you to change the title of the thread to somethign less accusatory

As with any business you must decide your target audience and what product your going to sell. Unfortunately for Bonneville owners with Series I'* or 4t60 transaxles there simply is not enough customer demand for these items to spend resources in developing items for them. The cars runnign them are over 11 years old now and aging to the point where a limited number of people will be driving them and of those only a select few will even begin to think of modding it.

t some guys just don't realize is there are other things to do to a 3800. yes we are limited in the vendors we use and most of the time we have to build it ourselves. I understand the frustration of not being able to find parts but at least you got a supercharged 3800. how many parts do you think I come across for a 1996 Bonnie SE with the NA L36? not many. I take parts from caddilac, GTP'*, or anything else that comes close and I make it work. here is a small list of mods I have done:3 inch Flowmaster Exhaust. Thrasher heads, pistons, and 222 Cam. polished intake. Manley valves. K1 Technologies forged aluminium rods. MAP Engineering Throttle Body Spacer. Bosch platnium plugs, Accel custom 8mm wires. Warlbro - In line fuel pump 255 lph. Lucas 42lb fuel injectors. B&M shift improvement kit.
punched out .30 over as well.
if you did half the stuff I did, you should have an 11 second car all day long, maybe even upper 10'*

Tunnel..that'* a pretty bold statement saying half that stuff gets you in the 11'* all day. Would you happen to have any timeslips or dyno paperwork to back that up? Doesn't seem that our experience here would put your car into the 11'* like that. I for one am interested as I'm building mine up and would love to save some money and be in the 11'*.

Tunnel, you claim to have all this great work done to your car, but yet run Bosch Platinum plugs?
