Greetings,
Took the plunge last month and traded my 97 GTP in for a 00 SSEi. The car is fully loaded with everything and the best car I have yet to own in my 29 years. My wife loved it so much we traded her 02 GA GT in for another 00 SSEi. Having 2 exact bonnies is quite fun however I notice things are different between the 2. Her car has about 49K Miles on it while mine has 29K.
Her car shifts harder, and has more torque especially from start. My car seems to do better at higher speeds, my passing is faster than hers around 55. The only thing different I have done between the 2 is I installed a K&N Filter in mine. I had a garage check out both cars before I purchased them and there doesnt seem to be anything physically wrong with either (i.e. no leaks, etc...).
I'm wondering if my car needs tuned (could that be with 29K miles on it?). I ordered some taylor wires and NGX iridiums from Ty at domestic and we will see what those do. Also thinking of crisping up my shifts with a shift kit. Any ideas on whether I should add a trans cooler with the shift kit? Also, does anyone know if places like a dealer or Monroe, or Midas will have a dyno to test the car before and after mods? What do they normally charge?
Anyway enough rambling, glad to be part of the club. I look forward to learning alot from all the great minds here.

Todd, Welcome!
Two things to keep in mind here. The gear ratios MIGHT be different in the 2 transaxles, and your car isn't even broken in yet. Might still be a bit tight. It'll loosen up and gain power in time.

Adding the mods won't, but opinions differ on DRIVING style during breakin. I don't think these things are TRULY broken in until 50k. I know my Z71 was like that. My MPG went up like magic about then.

Mine is Black, my Wife'* is Silver. The hardest part is knowing whos keys are whose, we each have a set to each others car as well which complicates things even more . I had to go to 2 keychains...she used nail polish to differentiate hers....heh...

When I purchased my 97 GTP a few years back I was actually looking at purchasing a Bonneville new then. To much money at the time.... The GP served me well but I've always liked the extra features and hidden potential of the Bonne'*. My dad had a 96 SSEi which got me hooked....HUD, 12-Disc changer, heated seats, dual climate control, memory seats, and the ability to blow a lot of unsuspecting teenie boppers away...who could ask for more?
