methanol injection?
What is the story behind this? what does it do? does it replace gasoline? Where is it injected? what kind of HP/Torque would I be looking at? What is the largest benefit of the methanol? What is the worst part of it? and the biggest question of all, cost?
Sorry about all the questions, but I want to see what is the best alternative to Nitrous, because right now, that looks like the only route to go other than digging into my engine, which I would like to stay away from.

Was there a good performance increase? Would the performance increase differ from N/a'd to */c'd cars? Other than the cooling effect. How do you have it hooked up? like where does it "inject"?

methanol , alc/water injection - takes heat out of the air going into the engine... it'* injected into the intake pipe. the benefits are removing detonating heat levels and also adding a 'fuel' at the same time. it'* not like nitrous which gives you an actual hp boost. alc/water and meth injection just let you run higher compression with nasty advanced timing, or more boost , etc.
only thing better then a meth or water/alc injection setup for this purpose is Propane injection (I love propane injection)
I've heard of turbo buick guys hooking up alc/water kits set to run @ a set psi level and also @ a set KR
I've been looking into DIY a/f and KR meters and possible making up a bunch as "prizes" for the next westcoast bonne meet
Check out this site for a great "what it does" and a full "DIY how to" http://www.dawesdevices.com/water.html

Check out the NW meet pics in Your Ride. There'* a shot of driverjohn playing with my WI tank.
My nozzle is in my filter. This is the 4th WI system I've built for this car alone. Been playing with it for 2 years. The best advice I can give you is to read about it for at least a month, research everything you read, ask questions you may have, then buy a commercial system for about $800. Building your own system and doing it right takes alot of patience, time, and trial & error.
The current version in my car is stricly manual at this point, but will be automated with a pressure switch to come on at 3psi of boost soon. It'll be running a 50/50 water/methanol mix.
