Ported LIM
Okay so, I've been giving some thought to this...
I think my next mod will be a Ported LIM. How much does this cost, and is it something I could easily do myself? What kind of power gains can be expected from it?
After taking my engine apart last week with my mechanic, I think I can install it myself without much trouble.
Anyone have an old LIM hanging around that they don't want anymore?

Agrazela has graciously offered to sell me a ported and polished LIM that he will be doing himself. Original LIM is off of a 1995 L36 Bonneville, and is in good shape with no pitting.
So, this thread will be my build documentary I suppose...let'* see how the P&P LIM makes my retirement home sled motivate itself.

Andrew is the man!
One of his P & P LIM'* is working nicely on my car right now.
Really liked the mod. Did not make the car incredibly faster, but it just seems to pull strong and smooth all the way to the top of the range. It also seems to burn a little less gas too. Hard to tell. however, since I have been keeping my foot to the floor a bit much...
Have fun

Glad to hear it, I can't wait to get this done
So it made a noticeable difference through the entire powerband? Cool. Improve low end much? If there'* anything I'd like to boost, it'* low end...but I certainly won't complain about more power no matter where it is.

I could still do you one, but I'd have to get another LIM first. Let me know what you want to do.

Could you post some closeup pictures of the LIM gasket mating surfaces?
