Tell me more about this "known problem".
Silver,
There are 2 cutoffs in the bonneville pcm. The first is a fuel cutoff at around 5300 this is the limiter for 2nd gear and is normally taken care of by DHP PCM when they up the shift points to 6000 or 6200 or whatever they have you set at. There is also another limiter that pulls SPARK to almost 0 at this same rpm speed. I'm betting your DHP PCM is only removing the one limiter and your hitting the other at least thats my guess without a scantool.

Why would you want excell running???

Very interesting, so this happens only from a standing start, and does NOT happen from rolling start. Correct? how much learning time does your PCM have in?
Todd, where did you get that info and how'* your new PCM been treating you btw?
So Silver'* "problems" here are factory programming huh? Might have to check that out on my car tonight, see if I can get them to happen.

Why would you need more than 100mhz??? If it has a decent amount of ram (32mb or more) it would be fine. We use a 166mhz laptop w/64mb ram for autotap logs, and don't have any program except for autotap open during the logging. It is plenty quick and has no trouble. We used to use a 120mhz laptop with 16mb of ram, and that worked fine too, it just took a long time to boot up. Once you get the laptop up and running you don't need much. IIRC the autotap program requres a 66mhz or faster processor with 8mb ram or something like that. It is a very simple program, doesn't take much to run it.

The car stalled twice today for my wife. Once it flashed the battery light and the second time it threw code P0102 - Mass or Volume Circuit Low Input.
I pulled out the computer after work today and reinstalled the original PCM. All back to normal now with no SES light or codes.
Waiting for my replacement DHP.....patiently...very patiently....

Just made my decision and ordered an AutoTap like I had planned for some time.
Ya, it'* pricey....$500. Canadian, with a BatteryTender Plus throw in for a bonus buy.......but I've played around much too long in the dark, so to speak.

I just sent mine in for diagnostic. I kept getting random numbers in columns making it hard to decipher some of the data. Programmers looked at my logs for a bit then asked me to send it in. I'm hoping to have it back by monday.
Isn't the autotap just a connector and a program discette?
