Default Knock Retard....Fuel Starvation....Torque Management ???

I really need a scan tool bad Not having a laptop sucks too.

Car is doing something similar to when I first installed the smaller SC pulley.

Acceleration is strong but if I accelerate from a dead stop....even without any wheelspin...and hold it at full throttle, after about 13 secs. when it gets to almost exactly 90 mph it stops accelerating and feels like I lifted the throttle to half even though it'* still matted, then accelerates very slowly. Knock retard can't be that dramatic, can it?
If I start full throttle acceleration from a higher speed, it doesn't happen.
Sort of kills my 0-100 or 1/4 mi runs. .....even with a cool engine and outside temps.

Like I said, it did that when I first installed the pulley a couple of years ago but went away after a short while.
Is this a PCM learning thing.....or maybe associated with the new DPH computer :?:
The higher fuel pressures or the AFC 1.1 didn't help.
Any ideas :?:

SCAN TOOL!!!

Get on ebay, buy a cheap 100mhz laptop. The buy an autotap. All your problems are solved. Then it would be quite easy to see what the problem is.

I don't think a 100mhz laptop will be useful, remember, you'll want excell and autotap running at the same time, minimum. A decent network connection would be nice too. A great new laptop can be had for $1000, with a fast processor, wireless and the whole kit and caboodle.

Why would you need more than 100mhz??? If it has a decent amount of ram (32mb or more) it would be fine. We use a 166mhz laptop w/64mb ram for autotap logs, and don't have any program except for autotap open during the logging. It is plenty quick and has no trouble. We used to use a 120mhz laptop with 16mb of ram, and that worked fine too, it just took a long time to boot up. Once you get the laptop up and running you don't need much. IIRC the autotap program requres a 66mhz or faster processor with 8mb ram or something like that. It is a very simple program, doesn't take much to run it.

Why would you want excell running???

Digimoto is an inexpensive program and obd2 attachment that I got for $89 us.
The software looks promising and does everything auto tap does.
I hope to get it soon as it shipped 9 days ago.
