Going with just the filter will give you the benefit of never having to replace your filter again, and a little better air flow. If that is the route you want to take I have a K&N Filter for sale that fits your car if you are interested. It is the same as new as it has been cleaned and re-oiled. Asking $35 shipped for it (vs $45+ you pay for a new one).
Now If you want more performance, A true Fender Well intake (FWI) will give you the best gains as it puts the filter in the fender and doesn't pull any of the hot air from under the hood. You can also build a box to surround the filter if you would have an intake that stays under the hood. I don't think the K&N cold air kit is a fender well intake and I am guessing it costs upwards of $200.
You can order 2 ft of hose from intense racing for around $25-$30 shipped I think along with a cone K&N filter for $40 or so and make your own FWI..
Or another option is I make and sell Custom FWI that are painted to match your car, or whatever color you desire for $90 plus shipping if you are interested in going that route. I have sold to several members on here, and just got another order in fact.
If you are interested in either of these options PM me and I can give you more details.

I'd get a box built or FWI
if you're just gonna throw a filter on i doubt you'll gain any performance, matter of fact i'd say you lose performance since you're sucking hot air from the engine bay vs cold air from the stock box
