I run HP tuner and so does Billboost. I got mine from intense racing. The standard version is $499, the pro version is $650. Wont mater where you get it from, they are all the same price.

Easy to use yes, once you learn it. There is a steep learning curve, so it will take a long time to get good at it. But there are a few of us to help.

The PRO you can connect to the car and collect data without a laptop and connect other sensors such as a wideband O2. I run my WB O2 threw my unused AC sensor and it works fine. So I got the standard. Best $500 I spent on the car.

I have the MPVI Pro. Best $650 I ever spent. My AC is not going anywhere, neither is my EGR according to my state and it'* emissions laws.

That and not needing a laptop for logging is awesome, I hooked the wideband O2 into it the other day in minutes. Especially since my laptop hated me using it in the car and all 4 usb connectors became damaged and died.

As for learning curve, there'* plenty to learn. However there are some tuning guides easily accessible through searches or linked on other sites such as BonnevillePro that walk a new person step by step through the process that has been refined by the pioneers of tuning.

For example the guide for HPT says set PE to 100 for all cells, disconnect the maf. Reset fuel trims and drive X amount of time, then do a long drive and take the values from the VE LTFT histogram and add them into the VE table. Drive again, check for +5 or -5, then move onto the next step. It'* all spelled out and relatively easy. From a full tune..you tinker a bit and discuss ideas with others doing the same. Next thing you know..you'll be up to speed and making slight adjustments a couple times a year.

You have 3 choices for the wideband. AC sensor, EGR sensor, and rear O2 sensor. It is possible to unplug the AC and plug in the wideband when needed.

Yeah we are lucky like that.. No emissions or safety inspections in Fl. We just have to go by Federal emissions laws but there is nobody to check if we are. I disagree with no saftey inspections though. You should see what people get away with down here.

while there is a HP Tuner thread out, i always wondered somethin. i have the standard. when u have the lap top hooked up and u change some settings while ur driving and scanning, does it instantly change them as long as the its still hooked up to test out or do the changed settings only apply after u flash the PCM? and 1 more. lol. i am waiting to install the parts in my sig which included the IC. do u need the EGR block off plates, or do u just need to delete a code via tuner or wut? i have the block off plates already. jw. thanx
