That and the website never says how it works, it just gives that "atomization" crap.

I think ZZP tested this and showed that it actually had a .5 percent loss in horsepower for our engines! Supercharged 3.8s that is. So I would stay away.

You guys have to remember that our 3.8'*, even the NA ones, are VERY thirsty for air. Alot of volume goes through the intake plenum at WOT. Those fans would be an airflow restriction, as well as a turbulence-adder as already mentioned. You MIGHT gain a little if you used this to pressurize a stock airbox by adding another port in addition to the stock inlet pipe to the airbox, but I doubt it would make much difference. 3.8 liters of volume at WOT is a TON of CFM'*. Quite a different ballgame than a ricer 4-cylinder with half our displacement.

I know a guy that put one on his Ford Focus (he got it free from the disgruntled first purchaser), and it made no difference with my Gtech or his 'seat of the pants' dyno.

i know this kid who has a cavliar and he has something similar to that, but his is and electric fan that he has hooked up between the TB and the CAI, and when he turns it on you can tell a major difference.

Thats actually a pretty cool idea. Kind of like a cheap turbo. If it works, more power to him
