Default Jet Power Module

What a disappointment.

First I drove it normally around town. Observed that the Boost gauge was reading higher than normal. At idle it sometimes went to zero. If cruising at 30 mph, the needle would fluctuate +/- 5 psi Maybe it is confusing the Computer :?:
I thought it felt more responsive but maybe only wishful thinking.

Got home and there was a Code pending P0107 Manifold Air Pressure Low Input.
It seems that after every ignition on / off driving cycle one of these codes is set. When the second code is set it trips the Service Engine Soon light. Luckily I can erase the code with my code reader.

Then I went for a highway run. Ran it up to the damn 128 mph limiter. I hate that thing. When it comes on the engine just dies and the speed drops immediately.
So I decided to try some acceleration runs. The engine temp was steady at 185 F, outside temp 50 F sunny and dry.
I wasn't so much concerned with the 0-60 runs cause the Bonne is so heavy that tire traction is a problem. It'* easy to lose .5 sec or more smoking the balony'*. OK OK I did one easy run up to 60 and clicked off another 6.5 sec then tried the 0-100.
At around 90 mph the car just died like it hit a brick wall or the fuel was shutting off. Maybe it was Knock retard ??? Temps were all still low. Sure the boost gauge was pegged at 10 psi but I don't think any higher than that.????
I tried it again and the exact same thing happened at 90 mph until I took my foot out of full throttle and part throttle would take the speed higher.

The Jet Module only connects to the MAP sensor and the TPS.
I'm sure that'* what is setting off the SES light.
I have now turned the Module OFF.
I will be calling the Jet Tech line first thing on Monday.

I took GREAT care connecting the unit per the instructions and double checked with a Tech call to confirm initial start-up and operating procedures.

I don't blame Hector at ADTR at all and will deal directly with Jet.

Well I'm finally getting to the bottom of this. :?

I seems that the Jet Power Contro Module (chip) that ADTR sells on the Pontiac Bonneville store for '97-03 SE/SSE/SSEi models, does not work with Supercharged engines.

The Jet techy told me that he couldn't give me an RMA# for return of the product because it was sold for the wrong application.
I was really confused because I told him that even the instruction manual that came with the module shows both the NA 3800 and the ( K ) supercharged version. He still insisted that it won't work on GTP'* either because the computers are too sensitive.
The only way to modify the computer on the supercharged engine is with a custom burn that mean sending the computer away for a few weeks (unless you live in California).

I trust that Hector is a reputable vendor and will quickly resolve this issue.

Well the "L" is the NA Series I & "K" is the NA Series II. The "1" is the SC Series I & II 3800 BTW! This could be why they (Jet) says it will not work on a SC 3800!
