Default How accurate are the Gtech'*????

My friend just Gtech his GP tonight, and after the last few weeks, from running a 7.10, to 6.94, to now install a proper CAI, now hes running 6.24 and 6.18, with a 6.10 also. Im just wondering how accurate it really is. The 6.94'* had crappy launches, and the low 6 ones he just basically floored. he has Toyo Proxes 4, which GRIP like a ****, super turbo mufflers, and a CAI. Any opinions appreciated. Thanks!

G-techs are actually very accurate if setup right.

They are accurate once you can hit a consistancy, but to do that you have to know your car'* weight with everything in it (including you) within 100lbs AND properly prep the G-tech'* position if its been moved by doing a short moderate acceleration run on a flat road from a stop. It'* explained better in the manual.

Like Kyle said.

NOT VERY accurate unless you REALLY know what you're doing, and set it up right.

isnt it cheap and more accurate just to do it at a track? i do understand if a track isnt avaliable then yeah doing a g tech is easier.

If set up properly, a Gtech can tell you alot more than a track. 60-0 braking, horsepower, torque, G forces for four axes, warning lights for lateral g'* (which I use alot), and accelleration/decelleration G'*. And there'* more.

0-60 times dont require weight input. We ran the runs, with it being Level perfectly or at 0.01 . After about 3 runs, we got 6.14, 6.10, and 6.21

Are these accurate? It is a PRO not a Competition

They should ALL require weight input, as that'* how the unit knows what to compensate for.

That'* my understanding.
