i was thinking about intercooling my car, is that a good intercooler?

It'* one of the few choices. Check this link, you might save a little money. I've also seen a few used setups for sale.

What other MODs do you have on your car that you feel you need a intercooler. I'm only just getting to that point. There are a lot of other MODs you can do first that will give you more in the long run.

well right now i just have a 3.5" pulley and CAI, on this upcoming friday im getting new exaust, im upgrading to 3" pipe with a high flow cat and 40 series mufflers. after that i really dont know what im going to do, but i was planing on getting a modular pulley system if i got an intercooler but maybe i should reconsider?

If I may make a suggestion, use that money on headers to finish off the exhaust. Then change your rockers to a 1.9:1. You need to think about the order you MOD. To force more air in wont help if it can't get out. Exhaust first. Then you can work on what goes in. Once the exhaust is done you can then start looking at porting heads, LIM, and supercharger. By this point you will more then likely be outflowing your MAF and you can change out to a larger ported throttle body. By this point you will be around a 3.2" pulley and you can start thinking about a intercooler. But you will also need to think about your transmission before that. Like I said, you have a ways to go before spending that money.

so about the transmission, what can i do to keep it safe?

You can install a shift kit. There are a few options for this, everything from $20 to $135 depending on what one you go with. When installing that new fluid and filter is a great idea. Installing a transmission cooler is a option as well. Keeping it cool will help make it last longer, as long as you don't get to cold.

for the shift kit what is a good brand?

I've installed a ZZP shift kit, ZZ Performance Personally not a big fan. It has plastic spacers. It'* a OK kit for the price.

I've also installed a Intense kit in my own car, INTENSE-Racing.com: INTENSE™ Street/Strip Performance Shift Pak® The price is much higher but has metal spacers and comes with springs and O rings. I'm very happy with mine.

W body store has one as well. W Body Store Performance Shift Improvement Kit I have not used this kit so I have no idea how good it is. I also know of no member that has used it.

Or if your handy you can make your own. I have a write up in the how to area here and it has spacer lengths. You just need a brass tube from a hardware store and cut to length.

You can gain from an intercooler at this point. Unfortunately the Gen 3 M90 supercharger is a bit inefficient and creates a decent amount of heat.

Most people go for the lower cost bolt on'* etc before and when you do aim for an intercooler, please skip the short stack and head right for the full core. You will be much happier in the long run.
