Ram Air
Today I did a whole bunch of things to my car, including ram air. I did the goetto take off the cone and run a drier duct under the grill. It works, you can hear it taking in air. As for an increase in performance, maybe slightly if at all but I haven't driven it much yet. One thing different is the engine temp. Insted of running at 205 to 210 it now runs at about 195 or so. My hope is for better mileage.

Cool, I did the samething yesterday. My filter is staying a little cooler. I think its more of an endurance mod. Like when you start the car up in the morning it usually runs it best, but after an hour of driving it starts to get a little sluggish, but with the Ram Air, fresh cool air is constantly being cycled in. That is just what I believe though. Do you have one going to the other side of the engine?

One thing I have yet to find out is how to poast pictures on here. Do I need a host? I have lots of videos i'd like to show also. As to is what I did better than a K&N intake, no. I have the same air box, just removed the cone and drew drier duct from that air box to the grill. BonneME had the same thing before he got a "real" CIA. The only difference is the front end is different on my Olds vs. the Bonny. He had his drier duct go to the opposite side of the car, weras mine goes strait down and out. I've been told that its very loud when I rev the car.

You won't notice the ram air till your above 60+ kmh and its one fo the cheapest mod you can do. I removed mine cause I drive on 401 and for the people that know 401 thru toronto, they know how much crap and dirt flies around there and don't want all that accumalating into the airbox. I also go up north a lot too.. so don't need my car swallowing a whole bunch of bugs either. It definitely helps.. for SSEI'* series II I recommend nothing larger then 3" dryer duct. No pics on mine as I took it off.
BTW After running almost a year with it.. when I took the duct out.. man was it ever filthy inside.
I recommend changin the duct out once a year.. and it'* only $3 and you can get at least 2 tubeing out of it.
