KYB struts??
Ok....looking for FIRM struts that will support 1" possible drop? Looking at KYB'* but don't know if they will support a drop or not. I think i'm going for a .75"drop in the front and 1"drop in the rear through coilsprings.com with heavy duty springs....looking for a stiff ride! #1 should I do this(will this be bad, not weather or not YOU would do it)? Was looking into getting bilstein'* but they don't make any for newer bonne'*. Any suggestions?

I was lowered ~1.5" with KYB GR2'*. Horrible ride. Destroyed the struts (luckily they were under warranty). They just don't have the dampening abilities for aftermarket springs.
Bilsteins would be sweet. The GP GXP has them, but that'* a W-body. Doesn't the Bonnie GXP have Bilsteins too? Not sure.
You can go ahead and try the GR2'*. You may have more luck than I did, because I put the springs on the struts with about 20K on them. A new set may be different.

I would try to find a better strut for any kind of lowering.
Here is my review of dropping them with stiffer springs.
There isn't much bounciness around town but at speeds there is and it can get annoying.
Also, when lowering your car, you should shorten your front endlinks. Lowering pushes the sway bar ends up past where it was designed to be effective. This could weaken the sway and/or add to your spring rate.
This would entail:
1. Measuring from the ground to the bottom or top of the endlink on stock suspension
2. Installing the lowering springs
3. Taking the same measurement
4. Shortening the endlink by that amount
You should/could do something with the rear but it'* not as straight forward.

Basicly I just want to be able to corner better...I.e. (stiffer ride) Granted i'm sure it will be 10x better than it is now just going with new stock suspension....but I just want something a little stiffer than stock so when I lay on it the a$$ end doesn't go south as much!! Plus my box in the back doesn't help much! :?

what about some edelbrock springs? They have a set for the h body. 1.2 front drop and 1 inch rear drop. i don't know the load ratings, but i imagine since they're edelbrock, they're sport/performance. unfortunately, they don't have any struts that fit the h body that i know of, so i wouldn't know what would be a good strut to use.
Edit:
here they are.
