Can someone fab a simple exhaust part for me?
Here'* what I want:
Exhaust straight pipe, 12" long, 2.5" OD, 409 stainless (or better), 16 gauge (or better), 12" long; with an O2 bung welded in exactly 4" in from one end.
No flares, flanges, etc. needed...the idea is to slip fit this pipe between my resonator and a shorter-than-stock MagnaFlow cat (both 2.5" ID), and clamp it into place.
Terms: You procure / provide the pipe and bung, all drilling and welding etc., and ship the finished product to me (zip 92123).
So, what will you charge me via PayPal? (Use PM if you like)
(Alternatively, I have some unused tune-up parts (NGK TR55 plugs, ACDELCO 746U wires, ACDELCO tranny filter) and some used stock parts (Front manifold, UIM, LIM, 98 L36 TB) if you would be willing to entertain a trade)
(For reasons I won't go into here, I can't get a local muffler shop to touch this at all, "Performance shops" want outrageous money, and the maintenance guy where I work is a little "iffy" about welding stainless...so I decided to "put it up for bid" here )
(P.*., if the mods want to move this to "Wanted" please do)

409 Stainless will eventually rust, 304 is Kitchen grade and will never rust although alot more expensive. Welding Stainless is in my opinion and art, some can learn over time, but to do it well takes a lot of experience. You're better off using a Tig Welder, 1/8" tungsten, welder set at around 40 to 55 amps depending on experience, with Stainless Filler, argon set at around 10-15. I can understand the local muffler shop charging a lot, what you're asking for is a bit time consuming and to boot all the parts aren't supplied.
PS. the way to test if it'* true 304, place a magnet against it, if it doesn't stick it'* 304 grade.
I'll keep an eye on this post.

UPDATE:
Although I wasn't exactly inundated with offers here...
I am no longer seeking the welded O2 bung...I'm just gonna go with a section of straight stainless pipe between Magnaflow cat and stock resonator, and attempt a rear O2 delete with the PowrTuner.

Be caredul on that..if they do a visual inspection you'll be barbequed alive and they'll likely perform a Nascar fire drill on your car by pulling every piece off and examining it until it rusts.

Yeah, as you and I have been discussing by PM, this setup would be installed with clamps and reverted to stock on occasion...
