installed new catco cat.update. need help 1-22-08

Default installed new catco cat.update. need help 1-22-08

i just got done puttimg on a new catco brand high flow cat with down pipe attached and its 1:46 am so im going to bed but i want to know what difference i should see with the new cat ( sealed air tight ) and also i was only getting 10 mpg city with my old cat after replacing everything i possibly could so what kind of city millage should i expect to see now.? any ideas on millage and performance i should see? thanks guys..

oh and it was alot easier then i thought it would be once i got the right cat, ( $191 )

well, if your old cat was bad and possibly plugged, it could be a night and day difference.

That'* it in a nutshell. Maybe no difference. Depends on whether it was the cat or not. If it was the cat, you'll have better power, too.

191 for a cat?

Shoulda cost you about $60.

yeah $191 for a catco brand cat with header pipe ..was the only 1 could find local also

and im pretty sure it was my cat as it always smelled like rotten eggs. and my gas was horrible..

Ebay is your best friend. I picked up a cat, brand new, for 30 shipped. I know which one you are talking about though, and I have seen prices for those go for about 90.

i bought the $90 marmount brand cat from ebay for my 95 and it did not fit..

trust me i am the ebay king.. i could teach people stuff about ebay that they never knew..

that is only the cat for $70.. i can get that one for $60

but i got a new cat with the down pipe/ header pipe and flange gasket and new bolts ,springs and nuts as well as 2 2 1/2 clamps.. and a warranty.


oh and i just came back from a lil run and man ill tell you its a HUGE difference in performanc, torque and all around power and now i just have to fill my tank and test my new mpg. (expecting to see a HUGE increase from 10 mpg..

it was shot man.. bad millage, bad smells, and funny noises.. so yeah im very happy now..
