Default Install this weekend

Well i finally got everything i need to go ahead w/ my install:

ZZP:
GT cam
install kit
stainless intake valves
GMpartsdirect:
LS6 springs
Intense :
MLS gaskets (.052)
Felpro:
headbolts
exaust manifold gaskets
Viton Valve Stem Seals
Port matched upper intake manifold
P&Ped heads (last weekend)

I still need to pick up some copper spray, RTV, oil, assembly lube, and coolant. I'm either going to do that tonight after work or tomorrow morning.

Tonight i'm gonna clean my heads along with my garage. I'm also going to assemble my heads and make a gasket to go between my upperintake manifold and the HVII. That sealant has gotta go.

I'm planning on ripping everything appart tomorrow morning or late tonight. Geez i can't wait.

The digicam has fresh batteries so i'll try to take pics as much as possible.

Wish me luck i'm gonna need it.

I AM DONE

Everything is installed and everything seems to be ok.
I started the installation 12 noon saturday and finnished 10 pm on sunday. and i worked the whole time.
I ran into a couple problems like the harmonic balancer tool i rented didn't have all the screws and I didn't realize i needed those star bits for the cam cover screws.
In all i wouldn't say that this was real hard but it was tedious as sh*t.

I really stepped on it yet b/c i'm missing a bolt for my motor mount but the butt dyno is showing some real gains.

I neeeeeed to get this thing scaned and get a chip real bad.
It was driving great last nite but on my way to work it lost some power. I popped the hood and started poking around. The ignition module plug was loose so i'm hoping that'* all that was.

I almost forgot. I TOOK PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll post em tonight.

Very cool, congrats on the cam swap, was it your first? Looking forward to seeing some pics and time slips, did you run it before?

hmm... i hadn't realized that the cam could be readily done while the motor was still in the car...

verrry interesting indeed... how difficult is it to get at once you have the lower intake off? what needs to be removed from the accessory side of the engine to get at it?

We did mine with the motor still installed. You just drop the engine cradle on the passanger side a bit so the cam can slide out.
