My Flowmaster 80series... (BOnneAlien Cont'd)
Since the other thread was locked :? before i got to add my 2 cents!!
I went from stock 2.25 to 2.5 from downpipe back, getting a hi flow cat (magnaflow) removing the resonator, and a getting the flowmaster 80 series muffy. Its a beast now and it screams at WOT. Its really loud (in a good way) but i was thinking about putting a resonator back on. But then decided not to b/c my stereo drowns it out at about 50% power. AND, rarely do i have to worry about conversations with other people, (unless there all in my head)
In a nutshell; the flowmaster sounds BADAZZZ on my bonne and i love it, but i have other contributing factors that produce the overall tone that need to be taken account for.
Take a listen: This aint the best, but its all my wife could give me at 9:30PM. LOL

Sounds good man.. gotta love the performance exhaust on the 3.8'*, it really brings out the muscle to the car. Pre-flowmaster my car sounded just like any other car (minus the whine from the */c..im talking exhaust wise) ..and now she roars like the way she should. well done.
btw..lets keep this post going ...and let'* prevent degrading other mufflers. ..positive comments only..

I need one now... NEED. After the meet i wanted to **** myself. Mine sounds great for stock, it'* actually a very low note, and i can hear it in the car great. Just not loud enough to scare the bejeezus out of a Vtec'er when i fly past them.....

Damn, i wish i didnt live so far way from ya'll. If i was still single i would take a trip to the middle of America in my Bonnie!! It would look nice lined up with all those other cool cars in that pic. I seen Bonnevilles all the time around here, only they're all driven by blue hairs.
Will, i noticed from the move trailer you had that your car sounded like mine from what i could tell. I didnt realize it was pretty much the exact same setup with exception to the Muffler type.
I personally think opening up the CAT and removing the resonator makes a bigger diference in the sound then just throwing on the muffler to an otherwise stock setup. To me you hear more raw engine noise and can actually hear a big 400lb GM assemblyman screaming. :P When its just the muffler thats changed out, it sounds more bubbly, and backfirey. I dont have a lot of experience with other types of mufflers, just comparing it to my friends who has a V6 camaro and got just the Flowmaster Muffler but everything else was stock.
